If you are considering letting us build your dream car, we will first need to spend some time together to make sure we are a good fit for you. Break bread, catch a car show, spend the day together. Once we both feel good about things, we can start the build process. We will have a long road ahead so we need to be sure we are the shop for you.
We will need to begin the process of taking your ideas and dreams and bringing them to concept. We use a professional automotive design team to help us capture and optimize your vision. The designer can just kick us off with basic concepts, or stay on board through out the whole project to help with details. Once we have a solid direction, we can begin ordering parts!
Once we get through the bulk of design, we can move onto engineering. All of our builds require some sort of engineering efforts. We work closely with our team of engineers to make sure we always put a unique and tasteful touch on all of our builds. From cad work, to 3D printing to final machining, using technology to our advantage has really helped us get where we are today.
Once enough parts are gathered, we can align the start date with our schedule and begin the fabrication process. From tear down to final fit and function of all systems, the fabrication process is a crucial parts of the build. By the time we are done in fab, we will have built the car multiple times ensuring that everything has been thought out and addressed before the car comes apart for finish work. Some projects will even be extensively road tested before we take it apart for finish work.
Once the fabrication process is complete, it is time to get the car over to the body shop. Once the body shop gets the car in its final primer state, we tear it down completely and send all parts out for their appraise finish process whether it be chrome, powder coat, paint etc.
After paint and all finish work is complete, it is time for final assembly! This is the most exciting time of the build. We get to see it all come together. We get the car running and moving under its own power and then send it off for upholstery.
Once final assembly is 90 percent complete, the car goes over to the upholstery shop. We like to have renderings and some cad work already complete and in process when the car gets to upholstery so the process is fairly quick. Most interiors in the cars we build start with a 3D scan of the inside and from there a majority of the parts are drawn in solid works and either machined or 3D printed, then wrapped or finished.
Crossing the finish line. When it comes to making all the efforts worth while, we understand that the last portion speaks truth to whether we did our job well or not. The car needs to function and operate as it should. We handle all the last details, programming and tuning in house. The car will have a success 500 miles on it before we consider it complete.
